Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and collective agreements
• Manage complex payroll issues including final payments, taxable benefits, and reconciliations
• Provide coaching and support to payroll staff and resolve escalated matters
• Lead payroll audits and contribute to process improvements and systems upgrades
• Act as the subject matter expert for payroll systems (e.g., PeopleSoft HCM)
• Develop and deliver clear, user-focused training and documentation
• Recommend and implement efficiencies that enhance accuracy and compliance

What You Bring:

• Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation
• University degree in business, finance, or a related discipline (mandatory)
• 4+ years of payroll leadership experience, preferably in unionized or public sector settings
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax compliance, and employment standards
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft and advanced Excel
• Proven ability to lead process improvements and support organizational change
