Electrical Estimator

Electrical Contractor with exciting innovative projects seeking an Electrical Estimator to join their growing team in Langley, BC.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and timely estimates and have a background that includes:

• 2+ years experience in electrical or related estimating
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
• Proficiency with computer programs including MS Office and estimating software
• Educational certification Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or other related fields is considered an asset

Key Position Responsibilities will include:

• Review of drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate estimates
• Performing quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor work
• Preparing detailed proposals and bid packages
• Review and solicitation of supplier/subcontractor quotes
• Working closely with all stakeholders throughout the bid process
• Managing historical data for future reference and utilization
• Participating in project handoffs, and supporting the transition from estimating to execution
