PMO Builder / Senior Project Manager

Lookign to hire Project Manager who has built or matured a PMO, not just led projects?

We're looking for a strategic, hands-on PMO builder to lead complex, cross-functional projects and help establish strong delivery practices within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment. This is more than a standard PM role - we need someone who can drive structure, governance, and delivery excellence across portfolios.

What You'll Do:

• Lead enterprise-wide, high-complexity projects, potentially multiple at once
• Manage matrixed teams across internal and vendor resources
• Ensure delivery of key artifacts: requirements, design docs, test plans, etc.
• Drive project governance, budget control, and compliance with contracting processes
• Develop and manage budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies
• Proactively manage change requests, ensuring alignment with scope and strategy
• Help define and mature PMO processes and tools
• Liaise with stakeholders across business, IT, and legal sectors

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of project management (or 7+ years of related experience in lieu of degree)
• Experience building or maturing a PMO, not just leading individual projects
• 5+ years in Agile/Waterfall project delivery, planning, and lifecycle tools
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and cross-functional teams
• Solid experience with SDLC tools, testing, deployment, and release management

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of legal aid services or BC justice sector
• PMI certification or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Proficiency with MS Project, Planview, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel
