This is a Hybrid position in Brampton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of Oracle database-related projects (e.g., upgrades, migrations, patching, high availability setup).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including application teams, infrastructure, cloud services, and business stakeholders.
- Own the delivery of database support services and ensure SLAs, KPIs, and customer expectations are met.
- Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive problem management for database systems.
- Provide technical leadership on database architecture, backup & recovery, performance tuning, and automation.
- Drive governance, documentation, change management, and quality assurance processes.
- Plan and allocate resources efficiently to meet demand and project timelines.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts related to database tools and support services.
- Lead audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments related to data security and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Oracle database administration, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
- Good to have knowledge on other RDBMS like Postgres and MariaDB
- 5+ years of experience in a technical delivery or leadership role managing teams or projects.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Exadata, GoldenGate
- Proven experience in large-scale database migrations, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting.
- Experience in ITIL framework and service delivery management practices.
