Our client, Ottawa base client in the Financial space, is seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer for a multi year HYBRID contract to support infrastructure automation and cloud engineering initiatives. The successful candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure and containerization technologies, with strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate must have a valid security clearance in place at the SECRET LEVEL.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• University degree or college diploma in business administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation roles
• Minimum 5 years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and solutions
• Experience working in Agile teams using JIRA and documenting in Confluence
• Experience deploying and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and/or Red Hat OpenShift
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Proficient in Git-based version control systems such as GitHub
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing needs

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400)
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience with cloud migration projects from on-premises to Azure
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management
