We focus on skill development in areas such as organization, time management, reading comprehension, written communication, and study strategies. For students with diagnosed learning disabilities and ADHD, our one-to-one academic coaching program offers personalized educational support. We emphasize a quality coaching relationship to inspire positive academic behavior changes in students.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for an Academic Coach/Mentor, located in the Greater Toronto Area, with some opportunities for remote work. The Academic Coach/Mentor will provide personalized coaching in executive and academic skills, including organization, time management, reading comprehension, and study strategies. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individual coaching plans, providing regular feedback to students, and supporting them in the development of effective study habits. The role involves close mentorship to motivate students towards improved academic behaviors outside of traditional parent/teacher dynamics.

Qualifications

• Academic Coaching and Coaching skills
• Strong Communication skills
• Background in Education
• Proficiency in Mathematics
• Empathy and strong mentoring abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
• Experience working with adolescents is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
