As a Senior Associate, Investment Management, you'll be a key player in driving the growth, performance, and innovation of CSMC's fund platform and direct lending program. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-evolving environment.

You'll work closely with the SVP, Investment Management to analyze and manage CSMC's various funds (including Cameron Stephens Mortgage Trust CSMT , Bay Street High Yield Fund BSHY , Western Canada High Yield Mortgage Fund WCHY , and new funds to be launched). You'll help shape fund strategy, manage treasury and risk, and contribute to structuring innovative new investment vehicles across both debt and equity.

You will also play a hands-on role in building CSMC's new Direct Lending Program, helping design the workflows, tools, and reporting that will enable this business line to scale successfully.

This is an opportunity to contribute directly to how we manage capital, underwrite risk, and engage with investors. The ideal candidate is part-analyst, part-strategist, and part-builder and brings strong business acumen and a collaborative mindset.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the SVP in conducting portfolio analysis and risk rating for CSMC's total portfolio.
  • Support preparation of due diligence materials (DDQs) for prospective investors.
  • Assist in ongoing investor relationship management with syndicated mortgage investors.
  • Participate in investment evaluation for CSMT, reviewing opportunities and making recommendations to the Investment Committee.
  • Review Loan Summaries and Commitment Letters for new deals alongside the SVP.
  • Design and implement policies, procedures, and reporting for the Direct Lending Program - tracked through Salesforce and TMO.
  • Build a streamlined account and portfolio management process and monitor ongoing performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the SVP and Capital Markets team to help launch and structure new investment vehicles, such as:
    • Senior Debt Fund
    • Self-Storage Fund
    • Equity Fund(s)
    • Apartment REIT
  • Work with legal counsel to help structure and negotiate fund terms with investors.
  • Support the setup of legal entities and fund infrastructure as new vehicles are brought to market.

Cameron Stephens Equity Capital (CSEC)

  • Contribute to the creation and launch of new equity funds and investment opportunities.
  • Support the setup of entities and infrastructure to facilitate equity transactions.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across diverse workstreams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to transform complex data into clear, compelling presentations.
  • Experience working in CRM and reporting systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track deal flow and performance.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or other advanced credentials an asset.
  • 5+ years' experience in the real estate industry. Prior investment fund experience is an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in all reporting and documentation.
  • Strong ownership mindset and accountability for fund performance and investor reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Professional presence and ability to represent CSMC in investor and leadership meetings.

You'll be joining a high-growth investment platform where your work will directly impact the firm's ability to attract capital, deliver returns, and expand into new markets.
