River City Ram is part of the Steve Marshall Group, which operates new, used, and RV dealerships throughout British Columbia and the US. We are an award-winning brand with more than 400 employees, and we are looking to add one more as a full-time Sales Manager.

Role Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving the overall performance and success of the sales team within a dealership environment. This role involves setting and achieving sales targets, managing a team of sales professionals, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Sales Manager plays a key role in developing strategies to maximize revenue, maintain customer satisfaction, and uphold the dealership's brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust plans as needed.
Customer Engagement: Promote a customer-centric culture by ensuring excellent service during and after the sales process. Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
Inventory Management: Manage new and used inventory and coordinate with the marketing team to promote vehicles and special offers.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales data and generate reports to track progress against targets. Use insights to identify opportunities for growth and areas requiring intervention.
Collaboration: Liaise with other departments, including marketing, finance, and service, to streamline operations and enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications & Competencies

Proven experience in automotive sales or a related field, with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
Leadership experience, including team management and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of the automotive market and current market trends
Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
Proficient in using Customer Relationship Management software
Valid VSA license or ability to obtain one
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
