Position: Technical Sales Rep (Civil Engineering Background - Entry to Intermediate Level)

Location: Barrie

Are you a civil engineer who enjoys working with people just as much as you enjoy problem-solving? This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a client-facing role with a global leader in innovative building materials.

Our client, located in the Greater Barrie Area, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their North American team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in civil engineering who is looking to break into technical sales or business development - no prior sales experience is required.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Engage with engineers, architects, specifiers, and other stakeholders to provide technical support on product usage and applications

- Identify new leads, qualify prospects, and build long-term relationships within the construction and manufacturing sectors

- Help clients integrate the company's products into their designs and specifications

- Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings

- Support marketing efforts including presentations, collateral development, and product education

- Collaborate with internal teams and external distributors to support business development goals

What We're Looking For:

- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)

- Experience in or exposure to the construction, design, or building materials industry is an asset

- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport

- Interest in transitioning into sales, business development, or technical consulting

- Ability to travel occasionally for client visits and industry events

- Highly motivated, self-directed, and eager to grow professionally
