Position Title: Accessibility QA Automation Specialist

Location: Hybrid - Toronto, ON

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)

Start Date: July 2, 2025

End Date: March 1, 2026

Contract Duration: 8 months

On-site Days: Every Wednesday and the 3rd Friday of each month

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accessibility QA Automation Specialist to support enterprise-wide digital accessibility initiatives. You will work on implementing and optimizing automation testing frameworks, with a focus on accessibility compliance, while contributing to high-impact, high-visibility digital projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts across multiple frameworks
  • Implement and enhance testing frameworks using scripting languages
  • Contribute to accessibility testing efforts and support ongoing compliance improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on digital accessibility projects
  • Analyze test results and assist in remediation efforts for accessibility issues
  • Manage tasks across multiple concurrent projects

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in QA automation testing and script development
  • Strong scripting proficiency in JSON, YAML, JavaScript, and Python
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks such as Robot, BDD, Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to support multiple initiatives in parallel

Nice to Have

  • Manual accessibility testing using tools like NVDA, JAWS, Colour Contrast Analyzer, and browser zoom
  • Experience with Deque tools, including Deque Monitoring
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript for remediation support
  • Familiarity with Figma for design review
  • Jira proficiency for test and defect tracking
