This is an in-office position
Your new role
- Produce detailed technical drawings in collaboration with the design team
- Coordinate construction documents and permit submissions
- Conduct building code and envelope reviews at key project stages
- Monitor project progress and advise on workflow improvements
- Provide design and technical input, including hand/CAD sketches
- Contribute to interior design and tenant improvement projects
- Review consultant drawings and flag coordination issues
- Ensure quality control of tender and permit documentation
- Liaise with authorities for approvals and inspections as needed
- Administer contracts and certifications when required
- Perform periodic site reviews during construction
- Supervise and mentor junior technical staff
What you'll need to succeed
- Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an architecture or interior design studio
- Proficient in AutoCAD with strong technical drafting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
- Highly organized, collaborative, confident, and efficient in team environments
