This role is ideal for a Senior Devops Architect (or) Devops Engineering Manager who thrives in both technical execution and stakeholder collaboration, driving innovation while ensuring platform stability and scalability.
Key aspects include:
- Strong communication and presentation skills: Must be comfortable engaging with leadership, including one-on-ones with CTO and other key stakeholders.
- Leadership experience: Expected to manage a team (currently 4 direct reports), oversee 12+ DevOps tools, and support 900 users across the organization.
- Hands-on architectural oversight: Responsible for driving the DevSecOps roadmap, evaluating PoCs, and managing both current applications and new requests.
- Technical breadth: Proficiency in any cloud environment, CI/CD, Jira, Confluence, and broader DevOps tooling. Needs to be resourceful, solutions-oriented, and able to guide and mentor a team effectively.
- Operational responsibility: Includes on-call support 1-2 times per month, managing the platform lifecycle, upgrades, and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.
Must Have Skills:
- Proven experience in managing and administering DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Harness).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps principles, and developer workflows.
- Expertise in access management, SSO integrations, and license/cost optimization.
- Ability to lead and mentor technical teams while fostering collaboration across organizations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and operational efficiency.
- Experience in evaluating emerging tools, developing business cases, and managing budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to align with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps best practices.
