Position Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Summary:
A company in the manufacturing and packaging sector is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to manage day-to-day logistics operations. Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, this role is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring operational efficiency in the shipping area. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and experienced in freight coordination and pallet systems like CHEP.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring smooth logistics operations
- Prepare and manage shipping documents, including packing slips, bills of lading, and customs paperwork
- Liaise with carriers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and secure freight quotes
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of CHEP pallet transactions and inventory
- Verify accuracy of received and shipped goods, reporting any issues promptly
- Organize inventory storage and manage incoming/outgoing stock
- Complete packaging tasks based on customer specifications and deadlines
- Submit internal and external shipping and receiving reports on a daily basis
- Support material handling and forklift operations to optimize shipping flow
- Follow and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and best practices
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow company safety protocols
- Respond to shipping-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in physically moving goods (up to 40 lbs) as needed
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging setting
- Forklift certification (Counterbalance and/or Reach) is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with ERP or transportation management systems preferred
- Experience with CHEP pallet systems is a plus
- Strong ethics, reliability, and integrity
