Gravity Union is excited to be on the lookout for our newest Microsoft 365 Business Analyst. We're looking for someone who is curious and capable to join our team and help shape the future of workplace collaboration. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), permanent position based primarily onsite at our downtown Vancouver office. The expected salary is $65,000-$85,000, with flexibility based on experience and skillset.

About the opportunity

A Gravity Union Microsoft 365 SharePoint Analyst works closely with clients in collecting requirements, designing, configuring, and sustaining Microsoft 365 SharePoint and Records Management solutions.

This is very much a people-centered role focused on helping clients through their digital transformation journey in a collaborative environment.

Please note that this role is expected to work on a number of client projects, and that it is expected you can successfully manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Your day-to-day includes:

  • Leveraging empathy, change management, and your technical expertise to advise clients on best practices and optimal solutions along their digital transformation journey
  • Effectively setting and maintaining client expectations based on project requirements and our statement of work
  • Working on SharePoint/Teams collaboration portal, employee portal, Power Platform, and applied records management projects
  • Providing the following services to clients, including the successful implementation of a full rollout cycle through steps such as current rate assessment, requirements gathering, content audit, card sorting, mind map creation, iterative prototype building and testing of new solutions, content migration, go-live and post go-live support, and training sessions
  • Other tasks may include: upfront planning of program of work, providing sessions in Microsoft 365 best practices, supporting the creation of project governance models, and relevant workshops
  • Managing projects using established project management methodologies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
  • Staying up to date with relevant technologies and procedures and proactively sharing your findings with team members
  • Working towards your relevant Microsoft certification(s)
  • Working on internal initiatives as required
  • Sharing your lessons learnt with other team members

Are you the one?

  • 1-5+ years working on SharePoint and ECM projects, preferably in a consulting environment but in-house experience is acceptable
  • Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate)
  • Experience in applied records management, project experience in Microsoft Purview and/or Collabware/Collabspace strongly preferred
  • Experience leading client discovery sessions and writing functional specifications
  • MS-700: Teams Administrator Associate certificate
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • You enjoy engaging with people and helping them solve their business challenges
  • You can work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with other team members
  • Empathy, a growth mindset, and excellent communication skills
  • You know how to have fun!

Icing on the cake

  • Experience with SharePoint 2019, 2016, and 2013
  • Knowledge in Purview is a plus
  • Knowledge or experience in any of the following areas related to AI: Copilot and other AI tools such as Graph API, Microsoft Search, Viva Topics, etc.; AI governance - particularly with aligning compliance frameworks and Purview tools and best practices; prompt engineering and AI training; low code AI integration such as Power Apps and Power Builder
  • Experience working in compliance-heavy environments is an asset
  • Any other Microsoft or other relevant certifications are a plus
  • Bilingual in English and French
