Overview

A dynamic opportunity for a seasoned advisor or investment professional to lead client engagements within a boutique family office advisory team. The Principal will work directly with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, offering personalized guidance on wealth planning, tax strategies, and unique financial matters.

This role combines hands-on client work with internal leadership-shaping best practices, mentoring junior staff, and enhancing team capabilities across complex planning topics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen relationships with a select portfolio of UHNW clients, acting as their primary advisor.
  • Lead and execute comprehensive financial planning with a focus on tax efficiency, investment structuring, and generational wealth strategies.
  • Develop personalized plans aligned with each client's long-term goals and evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with external professionals (e.g., tax, legal, investment, insurance) to coordinate efforts across all areas of a client's financial life.
  • Provide clear, customized reporting to support client decision-making and ongoing strategy alignment.
  • Oversee compliance and tax-related activities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery with third-party providers.
  • Mentor junior staff, offering continuous coaching and support to elevate team performance.
  • Contribute to the firm's internal knowledge through research, training, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • CPA or CFA designation with 8+ years of post-university experience. CIM and CFP are also welcomed accreditations.
  • At least 5 years in high-net-worth tax planning; familiarity with investment concepts is an advantage.
  • Strong track record managing complex client scenarios and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Able to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and a collaborative mindset.
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify technical content.
  • Emotionally intelligent and client-centric, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
  • Confident managing multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and responsiveness.
  • Committed to professional development and long-term growth within the family office sector.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and document drafting skills are a plus.

Preferred Education

  • CPA or CFA is mandatory.
