The Opportunity

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Mortgage Funder to join our Operations team. In this key role, you will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and authorizing mortgage files for funding. A significant portion of your work will support our growing Switch Program, helping ensure a seamless and timely experience for clients transferring mortgages to MMC.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Review and verify all mortgage documentation to ensure compliance with MMC policies and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with outside partners, underwriting, brokers, solicitors, and internal departments to ensure timely funding.
  • Manage funding checklists and ensure files are complete and accurate prior to disbursement.
  • Heavy focus on the efficient handling of Switch Program files - proactively follow up to ensure documents are received, accurately and efficiently calculate disbursements while ensuring they are made on time.
  • Liaise with mortgage servicing and compliance teams to resolve outstanding conditions or issues.
  • Communicate funding status updates clearly and professionally to external stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in our systems.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements within the funding department.
  • Other duties as assigned that may include supporting and generating internal reports.

What You Bring

2+ years of experience in mortgage funding or mortgage administration within a financial institution.

Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and funding procedures.

Previous experience with Switch/Transfer mortgage programs is a strong asset.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency with mortgage software platforms, especially LMS/Delta360, is an asset.
