Purpose:

The Director, Development plays an integral role in fundraising - directly and through a team - for the completion of the Jim Pattison Medical Campus.

Key Deliverables:

  • Manage relationships within an assigned major gifts donor portfolio.
  • Meet or exceed annual personal solicitation goal of $3M.
  • Support overall campaign fundraising of $65M towards completion of the Jim Pattison Medical Campus.
  • Engage in senior volunteer management / network prospecting.
  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and cultivate prospects.
  • Create, manage and track budgets.
  • Contribute to business planning.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant philanthropy experience.
  • Demonstrated success in managing staff and senior volunteers to the achievement of organizational and team goals.
  • Experience in health care philanthropy an asset.
  • Capital campaign experience an asset.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT an asset.

Knowledge & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CFRE certification an asset.

  • Leadership/Major Gift Donors.
  • Senior Volunteers / Campaign Fundraising Advisory Council.
  • SPF Senior Management Team.
  • Major Gift Fundraisers.
  • May hold key relationships within Providence.
