You will be responsible for leading and overseeing all financial accounting activities, including the maintenance of fiscal records, compliance with financial policies and GAAP, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports. You will also provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership through in-depth analysis, budgeting, costing, and operational reporting-supporting informed decision-making and driving long-term business success.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day company accounts
- Assist with financial planning
- Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management
- Ensure government compliance in all tasks
- Manage audit processes and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements at the federal, provincial/state, and local levels, including:
- Income tax
- Sales tax
- Property tax
- Customs duties
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years experience in the area
- Proficiency with current financial software
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Travel to the USA may occasionally be required.
