Title: Director, Learning and Talent

Location: Vancouver, Calgary, Victoria, or Edmonton

Reports to: VP, Human Resources

Salary: $150,000 to $180,000 Canadian

Our client seeks a strategic and hands-on Enterprise Learning and Talent Leader to shape and deliver impactful programs that elevate leadership capability, enhance performance, and support employee growth.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you will lead initiatives in leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning-fostering a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement leadership programs tailored to various levels, focusing on delivering the right learning at the right time
  • Lead the strategy, design, and facilitation of leadership and manager development in a remote-first environment
  • Partner with internal teams and subject matter experts to co-create learning content and experiences
  • Drive adoption and effectiveness of performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and feedback
  • Establish talent development strategies to grow diverse leadership pipelines and retain high-potential employees
  • Guide the strategic direction of the talent acquisition function by anticipating emerging business needs, skill requirements, and developing corresponding employer branding and hiring strategies
  • Lead intern and rotational programs to support early-career development and internal mobility
  • Build cross-functional relationships to identify skill gaps and deliver targeted learning solutions
  • Measure and report on program effectiveness and development outcomes

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in leadership development, talent management, or related fields
  • Proven success designing and scaling learning programs with measurable business impact
  • Skilled in facilitation, coaching, and building curriculum from the ground up
  • Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex ideas and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Experience with performance frameworks, succession planning, and early-career talent programs
  • A data-driven mindset with strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to build and inspire high-performing teams
  • Comfort moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a dynamic environment

Nice to Have

  • ICF or equivalent coaching certification
  • Experience with LMS/LXP platforms and scaling digital learning
  • Background in human-centered design
  • Track record of delivering high-ROI programs with a mindset of continuous improvement
