Your Opportunity:
As a strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will align human resources strategies with the organization's vision and strategic priorities. You will lead and support the execution of HR programs including employee relations, employee engagement, labour relations, total rewards, talent acquisition and employee retention; serve as a coach to people leaders; and provide advice to physicians at our practice sites on people related matters, as required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on employee relations and conflict resolution, escalating when necessary.
- Design and develop impactful people strategies using data-based insights, business acumen, best practices, and industry trends to address business/sector challenges.
- Provide advice and guidance to staff and practices on employment issues.
- Apply understanding of HFHT policies, employment law, and other regulations.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, researching and proposing competitive total rewards package to enhance the employee value proposition.
- Identify training needs, develop and deliver training programs, as required.
- Lead talent acquisition for your client group. Scan recruitment processes through an EDI lens, providing advice and guidance to hiring managers as required, proactively make recommendations for process improvements.
- Respond to inquiries from staff, people leaders and practices and escalate, as necessary.
- Champion an inclusive, values-based culture. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with 'Our Way of Being'.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience as an HRBP, preferably in healthcare.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field; CHRP/CHRL designation.
- Demonstrated ability to be an influential and credible leader who proactively provides support, follow-up, and execution to ensure results are achieved.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to adapt communication style within all levels of the organization.
- Excellent time-management, documentation and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and work in a rapidly changing, complex work environment.
- Ability to travel to different practices and hub sites within and around Hamilton.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- High level of competency with computers and information technology.
- Respects and values the diversity of communities and individuals.
