Location: Greater Toronto Area (Office-based, hybrid work environment)

We are partnering with a globally recognized mining and construction leader - a key member of a major consortium driving the design and implementation of Canada's long-term energy strategy. This multi-year, multi-billion-dollar project will set new standards for safety, sustainability, and innovation in underground storage.
As part of a new project office in Ontario, we're seeking a Junior Project Manager (Project Controls) to play a pivotal role in this landmark initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in reviewing, developing and implementing the project controls plan for this high-impact, long-term underground storage project
- Support the creation and continuous improvement of project controls plans that align with Thyssen Mining's high standards and the collaborative Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach
- Track project progress using PowerBI dashboards and other tools to provide critical data-driven insights
- Assist in managing project budgets, schedule, cost forecasts, and vendor/client invoicing
- Create and maintain project WBS, CBS, and OBS frameworks to ensure rigorous planning and reporting
- Support project coordination across risk management, procurement, change management, and resource-loaded schedules
- Work closely with external stakeholders, always prioritizing "best for project" outcomes
- Transition seamlessly between the field-based perspective and the demands of an office environment
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in project controls or similar roles in mining or construction environments
- Background in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Engineering
- Familiarity with collaborative delivery models (IPD, JV, Alliance, DBFM)
- Proficiency in PowerBI dashboards and progress reporting
- Experience processing timesheets, managing project finances, and understanding how to drive project success
- Proven ability to process project timesheets and maintain detailed labor hour records
- A collaborative spirit, exceptional organizational skills, and the drive to contribute to a project of national significance
- Willingness to be part of an office-based environment for the next 3-5 years while leveraging field-based experience
