SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST

Our Vancouver based client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team and brings experience working with data infrastructure and working with terabyte level databases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze data in order to understand usage and performance of cloud services and operations
• Help innovate and apply new Gen AI technologies by collaborating with the cloud solution teams to improve customers satisfaction
• Developing mathematical models for data products to drive for future growth, developing data pipeline and data sources for the related data driven operations
• Works on complex issues where analyzing customer situation or business data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables
• Generate data reports and business insights using the latest ML/AI technology

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of working experience in data scientist/analyst role
• Building and deploying ML/AI models or hands on experience developing deep learning and predictive models
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Expertise in Python using e.g. SciKit-Learn, Pandas, Tensor flow, Keras, Deep Learning Framework
• Understanding of how spark runs, how airflow works with AWS
• Experience with Generative AI technology, LLM and RAG
• Experience with various AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, Redshift)

Hourly rate: $70-$80/hour for an Incorporated Consultant

Contract to run until the end of 2025 (high possibility of extension)

Hybrid work model - 3 days/week in office
