Position Snapshot: We're hiring a Program & Project Manager to help lead the next stage of Voilà's national and international growth. You'll drive the expansion of key initiatives like MetaProf, MetaLingo, and other legacy and emerging programs that support educators, students, and enterprises through immersive, AI-enabled professional development environments. While one of our core challenges is bilingual teacher retention, this role goes far beyond that single focus. You'll help shape a growing portfolio of education technology and training programs, working with school boards, Ministries of Education, and global partners to transform how learning happens, from teacher training to student engagement. MetaProf Project Overview: MetaProf is Voilà's flagship teacher training initiative-an immersive virtual environment that fosters spontaneous collaboration, professional growth, and bilingual PD experiences tailored to French and second-language teachers. Aligned with national goals to promote bilingualism and reduce attrition.
Your talent impact:
- Manage multiple high-impact programs and projects across Voilà, including MetaProf, MetaLingo, and other national and international initiatives.
- Lead project management efforts for the national deployment of MetaProf in partnership with the Government of Canada, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with school boards, ministries of education, universities, francophone networks, and international stakeholders to expand reach and impact.
- Identify and recruit expert speakers and facilitators across a range of education topics, including second-language education and digital pedagogy.
- Produce impact reports, insights, and recommendations for internal teams, funders, and national partners such as CASLT (Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers) and Canadian Teachers Federation.
- Create and execute community-building strategies that foster long-term engagement, retention, and professional satisfaction among French-language teachers.
- Design and scale user-centric programs that respond to the evolving needs of educators, students, and communities, with a strong focus on engagement and innovation.
- Facilitate engaging bilingual professional development sessions in the MetaProf virtual platform, prioritizing relevance, inclusion, and real-world application.
- Leverage immersive technologies - including AI-powered avatars and virtual classrooms - to enhance lesson planning, instructional strategies, and learning experiences.
- Coordinate internal and external teams to ensure seamless program delivery, continuous improvement, and stakeholder satisfaction across all platforms.
- Develop and implement feedback loops, reporting tools, and evaluation strategies that inform decision-making and demonstrate program impact.
- Coordinate internal and external teams to continuously improve session quality, tech usability, and participant experience across programs.
- Represent Voilà at national conferences and events, sharing results and driving buy-in among sector leaders.
- Contribute to the strategic vision of Voilà by identifying new opportunities for growth, experimentation, and educational transformation.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project/program management, ideally within the education, or training & development, or nonprofit, or public sector
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, eligible to work in Canada
- Strong background in community engagement and stakeholder relationship building
- Deep understanding of Canada's bilingual education system and professional development landscape
- Experience designing or facilitating educator workshops or training sessions
- Highly organized with a passion for detail, timelines, and meaningful outcomes
- Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools and enthusiasm for the potential of 3D environments and artificial intelligence technologies in education
- Fluency in French is preferred but not required
- You're both strategic and hands-on-you can see the big picture but aren't afraid to jump in and get things done.
- You thrive in fast-faced start-up environments and know how to rally educators, government partners, and internal teams around a shared vision.
- You bring a passion for education and innovation, especially when it comes to redefining how teachers and learners are supported through technology.
