Role Description

This is a contract Grand Opening Event Planner role based in Edmonton, Canada and in other parts of the world dependent on where the new locations. The Event Planner will be responsible for all of our grand opening events and all of the marketing, social media and planning around the event.

Responsibilities

• On-site vendor experience (such as food & drink vendors, guest lists, VIP guest lists, media support, photographer, videographer, Photo Booth, DJ, Brand Assets)
• General creative direction for marketing & promotion across socials
• Asset Creation (digital marketing & printed)
• Content Creation (you will be given help with this)
• Step & Repeat
• RSVP lists (local influencers & talent)
• Budgeting & branded merchandise
• Gifting for attendees
• On-site vendor experience (such as food & drink vendors, photographer, videographer, Photo Booth, DJ, Brand Assests)
• Managing Brand Partnerships
• Experiential story telling
• Overall event management on-site
• Strong Communication before, during and after event

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Event Planning skills
• Experience & Proficiency in Event Management
• Experience in Budgeting and Sales
• Flexibility to travel and excel in the position no matter what city/country the grand opening event takes place
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Creativity and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in event planning or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field
