Job Summary:

Insight Global is looking for Quality Analyst Technicians to ensure the quality and functionality of all audio-visual (AV) systems and equipment. The ideal candidates will conduct comprehensive QAQC testing, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering and IT teams to optimize AV system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct QAQC testing on AV technologies, including Crestron /flex/MTR(s), SurfaceHubs , Dante, Biamp, QSYS, and related systems.
  • Perform integration and functionality tests to ensure seamless interaction between AV components and UC technologies such as Office 365 and Microsoft Teams .
  • Test and troubleshoot conference meeting cameras (e.g., Poly, PTZ, OneBeyond, Qsys, Huddly, Logi) to ensure proper performance and integration with the AV system.
  • Verify camera alignment, video quality, and compatibility with AV control systems.
  • Ensure UC technologies, particularly Microsoft Teams and Office 365 , are fully integrated into AV systems and functioning optimally.
  • Test the interaction between conferencing systems, AV hardware, and software platforms to ensure smooth user experiences.
  • Perform network compatibility testing for AV systems, ensuring proper setup with Wi-Fi, PoE, and firewall/security applications.
  • Test data flow, latency, and connection stability across networks, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Use QSYS for operational testing, configuring, and verifying functionality across various AV setups.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to resolve issues related to QSYS system integration, ensuring optimal audio and video quality.
  • Implement QAQC testing best practices to ensure all AV technologies meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Document and report test results, issues, and resolutions, ensuring all testing procedures are clear, repeatable, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues during the installation or configuration phase, including troubleshooting and re-testing faulty components.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for AV systems during deployment and troubleshooting phases.
  • Ability to come in multiple days per week at the downtown Toronto location.

Deliverables:

  • QA/QC testing, including:
  • All AV displays and screen casting functionality
  • All AV technology audio, video, and control functionality
  • All meeting room booking functionality
  • All testing to be performed on-site
  • Camera AI testing, including:
  • Outlook booking
  • Non-Outlook booking
  • Start, end, cancel, ad hoc, and all other commonly used scheduling functions

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in QAQC testing of AV technologies and systems.
  • Strong understanding of AV integration with UC technologies such as Office 365 and Microsoft Teams .
  • Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting AV systems and network compatibility.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and IT teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work on-site multiple days per week at the downtown Toronto location.
