Aerial Lineman
Telecon is looking for several Aerial Linemen to join our growing team. This role is based out of Sudbury, Ontario and the surrounding areas.

The Lineman will assist the Civil Team with the installation of telecommunications infrastructure for various projects.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Read and interpret blueprints or job specifications to execute all work assigned safely and in accordance with Telecon's health and safety policy
Work outdoors in various conditions to place copper or fiber optic telecommunication cables
Climb poles, ladders and a variety of construction equipment to assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatus
String cables between structures, manholes, from poles, towers, or trenches and ensure that all are to proper tension
Clean and maintain tools and equipment
Accurately record and report project progress to the appropriate supervisory person and communicate any issues or expected delays
Performs other duties as required

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
Valid Ontario DZ license with clean driving record
Ability to lift to 80 lbs
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to climb poles and work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet
Able to complete the necessary training for working at heights and confined space, pass the corresponding examinations and receive a client authorization number
Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team
