Kasu Capital is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented finance professional to oversee financial operations across our dynamic portfolio of projects, assets, and investment funds. Key Responsibilities

Development & Project Finance

• Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets and proformas for commercial and hospitality assets.
• Oversee cost control, variance analysis, and cash flow projections across multiple development projects.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to manage invoicing, payment schedules, and capital disbursements.
• Track project funding, draw schedules, and capital allocations across entities, bank accounts, and fund structures.

Finance, Accounting & Fund Management

• Manage banking relationships, ensuring accurate account reconciliations, fund transfers, and liquidity at project and fund levels.
• Monitor fund-level financial performance, including capital deployment, expense tracking, and compliance with fund agreements.
• Lead month-end financial close processes, working with bookkeepers and accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee tax preparation and maintain financial compliance across jurisdictions for projects and funds.

Asset Performance, Fund Reporting & Investor Relations

• Analyze key performance indicators (NOI, ROI, ADR, occupancy, etc.) for operating assets and fund-level returns.
• Prepare investor updates, quarterly fund reports, and performance dashboards with clear financial insights.
• Support fundraising and capital calls by developing performance summaries, financial models, and investor materials.
• Provide transparent reporting on fund performance, including waterfall distributions and return metrics.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in real estate development, asset management, or fund management.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and fund performance analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar financial platforms.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and payment processes is an asset.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred

• Familiarity with real estate investment structures, fund management, and waterfall distribution models.
• Experience with short-term rental (STR) operations or hospitality-focused assets.
• CFA or additional relevant certifications are a plus.
