Job Description: Underwriter Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Underwriter Assistant to join our client's team of Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriters. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the underwriting process by gathering essential data, preparing documents, and ensuring accurate documentation of underwriting decisions. Responsibilities:
- Data Gathering: Retrieve relevant information from various internal systems, databases, and external sources.
- Document Preparation: Create and organize documents based on the gathered data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Underwriting Team to provide them with the necessary information for documenting underwriting decisions.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize internal systems efficiently and demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and presentation.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and contribute to the team's success.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as an underwriting assistant supporting commercial P&C Underwriters.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using internal systems and databases.
- Strong command of MS Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
