Your New Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Application Developer for a high-profile project supporting a major federal government department. This is an on-site contract role based in Ottawa, running from June 26, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement full-stack applications in a secure, event-driven architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.
• Utilize your experience with federal government projects, especially DND or similar, to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Work with database frameworks such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Apply security-by-design principles throughout the development lifecycle.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Security Clearance: Canadian Federal Government Secret Clearance (mandatory).
• Experience: 8+ years in software development, with significant full-stack exposure.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in C and/or C++
• Strong understanding of integration and design patterns
• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Agile development, including test-driven approaches
• Hands-on with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of security and security-by-design principles.
• Eligibility: Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident. Dual/third nationality must be from one of the approved countries (list available upon request).
• Nice to Have: Experience with TypeScript and Python.
