Job Title: Lead QA

We are seeking a Lead QA Consultant to drive functional and automation testing initiatives for client projects and lead QA engagements from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities

• QA Strategy & Planning
• Define and implement test strategies for functional and automation testing across diverse client environments
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and developers to align testing activities with project timelines and business goals
• Leadership & Team Management
• Lead a team of QA analysts and automation engineers (onsite/offshore)
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and quality standards to junior testers and consultants
• Conduct code reviews, test plan reviews, and provide coaching for process improvement
• Test Design & Execution
• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to develop comprehensive test cases
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing
• Implement and maintain automated test suites using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar
• Client Engagement
• Serve as the QA point of contact for clients, participating in meetings, reporting, and risk analysis
• Provide clear, actionable QA insights and testing progress updates
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work products
• Process Improvement
• Drive QA process standardization across projects
• Evaluate and implement testing tools and frameworks to improve QA efficiency and coverage
• Promote test automation and CI/CD integration best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role
• Strong hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing
• Proficiency in one or more test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright)
• Experience in creating and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and inspire QA team members
• Experience in performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• ISTQB Certification or similar credentials
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred if servicing Canadian clientele
