American Express is seeking a corporate/commercial lawyer to join the team in its North York office as Manager and Counsel. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of post-call experience in the banking or consumer lending industry as well as knowledge of the regulatory framework and requirements impacting financial services products.

The successful candidate will also have strong drafting skills, and the ability to draft customer facing disclosures and agreements with third parties. This role will suit a candidate with strong business acumen and experience providing legal support to build strategic relationships with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to the business, ideally from an in-house environment.
