Lead with Heart at a New Family-Focused Cafe

Bean Bag Play Cafe is a brand new, family-focused café opening soon in Westboro, Ottawa. We blend great coffee, a safe, engaging play space for kids, and a warm, supportive environment for parents and caregivers.

We're looking for a Café Manager who shares our love for community, creativity, and a well-crafted cup of coffee. If you believe in the magic of play and want to help build something meaningful from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

• Run day-to-day operations with kindness, care, and attention to detail
• Hire, train, and support a small team in a positive, people-first workplace
• Serve great coffee and uphold high standards of quality and service
• Coordinate family events and support birthday parties and private bookings
• Engage with customers, help solve problems, and keep things flowing
• Build community connections with local families, vendors, and organizations
• Maintain safety standards and ensure a clean, welcoming space
• Manage ordering and budgeting to support smooth operations
• Contribute to social media and web content that reflects our brand voice
• Help shape systems, menus, and experiences as the café grows

Who You Are:

• Experienced in café or hospitality management (2+ years preferred)
• A coffee lover, proud of your skills and attention to detail
• Passionate about family life and creating inclusive, joyful spaces
• A people-first leader who inspires and communicates with warmth
• Organized, dependable, and ready to lead calmly in a dynamic setting
• Comfortable working independently and making key decisions
• Excited to grow alongside a new business
