ROLE DETAILS
- Work Location: Toronto, ON - Remote-First, occasional travel to Toronto may be required
- Compensation: $181,000-$200,000
- Reports to: CEO

YOUR ROLE
We're seeking a technically skilled, execution-oriented, and forward-thinking individual to serve as our CTO. This leader will guide our technology ecosystem, focusing on automation, platform migrations, and strategic alignment with business goals, especially leveraging AI. This role offers significant ownership and visibility, ideal for someone early in their leadership journey but ready to take on substantial responsibilities.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Lead as the primary technology authority across the organization
- Develop and execute the technology roadmap aligned with strategic goals
- Advise executive leadership on technology investments, emphasizing AI integration
- Recommend scalable technology solutions for client projects
- Assess technical feasibility and innovation potential for client proposals
Automation & Augmentation
- Oversee automation initiatives, including AI tools to optimize operations
- Identify and prioritize automation opportunities
- Implement AI solutions like RAG, agents, and augmentation tactics to reduce low-value work
- Promote automation within internal and client projects
Project Management & System Migration
- Manage migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
- Lead the transition from current PSA tools to new platforms, ensuring minimal disruption
- Coordinate with teams and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with quality
Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee IT infrastructure for reliability, security, and scalability
- Manage technology-enabled service models
- Implement best practices for data management, access, and cybersecurity
- Troubleshoot IT issues hands-on when needed
- Guide resource planning and capacity management
- Audit tools and systems for gaps and AI leverage opportunities
- Set and monitor technology efficiency metrics
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic technology planning
- Manage relationships with external vendors and internal teams
- Optimize software licensing and organizational processes
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 7-10 years in IT, systems administration, or tech project management
- 3-5 years in a CTO or similar leadership role
- Hands-on experience with technical systems and applications
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, CoPilot Studio is a plus
- Experience with PSA platforms (e.g., ClickUp, )
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence
- Experience leading system migrations or similar projects
- Ability to analyze current systems and recommend solutions
- PMP or similar certification is a plus
- Understanding of IT operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure planning
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
