SENIOR BUYER - BOIS-DES-FILION HEAD OFFICE
We are searching for a proactive, efficient, versatile and professional Senior Buyer to join our motivated team at our head office in Bois-des-Filion. The candidate will be responsible for purchasing goods and services of the right quantity, quality, price and time, to meet its operational needs and goals, while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Must be available some evenings and weekends to communicate with suppliers abroad

RESPONSABILITIES:
Negotiate terms, conditions, prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and quality standards with suppliers
Place orders and issue purchase orders to international suppliers
Update information in the ERP system
Track orders in an international context (freight, transport, lead time, custom, duties, inspection)
Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or understocking by making informed purchasing decisions
Ensure that the products meet the required quality standards and specifications. If needed, use third party to inspect and test incoming goods
Optimize cost while maintaining the desired quality and standards
Maintain positive relationships with suppliers
Stay informed about marked trends, pricing fluctuations and industry developments
Ensure that all purchases comply with relevant laws, regulations and company policies
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs and performance metrics
QUALIFICATIONS :
5 years or more experience in a similar role - essential
Perfectly bilingual - essential
Knowledge of Chinese - asset
Degree in Procurement Management - asset
Has a great sense of organization, dynamic approach and excellent autonomy
Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
Strong negotiation skills
Results oriented and goals oriented
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) - mandatory
Experience with an ERP system - mandatory
