Director, Sales Strategy (14 month term)

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President - Sales, The Director - Sales Strategy will work as part of a leadership team focused on growing overall sales performance for Xplore's residential (B2C) and business (B2B) segments. The chosen candidate will be responsible for analysis, reporting and strategic plan preparation, as well as Sales Operations and Support functions for Xplore's suite of B2C hunting sales channels, while simultaneously leading both Customer Experience and Marketing teams for B2B.

Analytical thinking, project prioritization, people Leadership and culture building in times of growth, will be important attributes for the candidate to possess. The role entails direct support of several key team members with functions ranging from strategic marketing to sales operations and support.

Key responsibilities include:

- Data analysis and presentation: Working across multiple data sources to create thoughtful analysis for Executive audiences; synthesizing data to support evidence-based decisions. Translating insights into decks with clear storylines that help stakeholders understand and align with channel strategies.

- Strategic plan creation and execution: For each sales channel, developing detailed and specific plans for short, medium and long-term growth with a focus on sales team output and efficiency (ie: volume and quality)

- People leadership (Operations, B2B Marketing, B2B Customer Experience): Supporting team members by setting and working to goals and objectives, encouraging a positive and winning-focused team culture and building strong internal, external and cross-functional relationships

- Cross-functional initiatives: Form strong relationships and lead collaboration across Xplore teams (Network, Operations, Sales, Marketing) to drive improved performance that supports subscriber growth

- Cross-functional meetings and relationship building: Working daily with key internal partners (eg: IT, Finance, HR, etc) to ensure sales operations grows its position as a trusted, productivity minded partner

- B2B Revenue Management: Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, BI) to build reporting & analytics and insights specific to understanding B2B performance

The ideal candidate will possess:

- 3-5 years leading telecommunications sales, marketing and/or operations projects and teams in fast-paced areas of strategic importance

- Working with and interpreting ambiguous data, with a focus on creating actionable insights

- Presenting end-to-end strategies to C-Level audiences

- Managing telco sales teams or marketing to Multi-Dwelling Unit buildings, considered assets

- Expert level skills with the following: data analysis, reporting and visualization, deck creation and story-telling

- Sourcing and developing new ideas and solutions for legacy problems

- Strong people leadership skills during times of change

- Building and maintaining strong, internal and external partnerships

- Bilingualism (English / Francais) is preferred
