JOB TITLE: Chemical Sales Representative

DEPARTMENT: CESCO Solutions, a Tidal Vision Company

REPORTS TO: Business Manager

STATUS: EXEMPT/SALARY

LOCATION: Greater Vancouver Area BC, Canada

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 USD salary base and guaranteed commission year one of $20,000 USD

(sales and commission = $100K USD with unlimited income potential).

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organization. We are looking for Chemical Sales Representative with experience in the chemical industry, or a related field. The successful candidate will work closely with team members to ensure customer satisfaction, and provide exceptional customer support to potential and existing clients. This candidate is required to travel locally to meet with current and existing clients as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Generate and execute sales plans within the existing customer base and assigned competitively held accounts to achieve growth targets.
  • Work closely with current and prospective customers primarily in the Greater Vancouver Area , to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant and facility executives, to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Provide technical support to customers by identifying and resolving challenges, escalating issues as needed.
  • Engage in problem-solving by conducting system analyses, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations to ensure optimal customer operations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing comprehensive training on Cesco products, verifying proper application equipment functionality, and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Actively promote and support Cesco innovations and technology within assigned accounts to strengthen long-term business relationships.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed (30%-50%) throughout the region.
  • Clean driving record and valid drivers license.

Basic Qualification

  • Industrial Wastewater Treatment Knowledge.
  • Food Processing - Cleaning and Sanitation Knowledge.
  • 5-10 years experience in the technical sales industry.
  • Must be able to review, edit, interpret, and create detailed sales reports.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with technical teams, product teams, and other business groups.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years experience selling chemical solutions.
  • Wastewater Treatment Expertise.
  • Food Processing - Cleaning and Sanitation Expertise.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or related field.
  • Chemical Safety Knowledge.
  • Food Safety Certificates (ex. HAACP, SQF)

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Travel Required up to 30%-50% depending on the time of year. (Company car provided).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, etc., and sometimes needs to lift and/or move various weighed objects.

Licensing & Special Requirements

  • Incumbent is subject to a background check.
  • Local State Driver's license and proof of insurance required by the time of hire.
