Summary:
PulpPictures is proud to present: the Cartoon Portrait Program (our fifth Annual!)
We are looking for: 2-6 Junior Artists (Preferably in 2nd or 3rd year of Post Secondary Program, or with a super attitude and a fun portfolio).
Role:
Drawing on paper in an outdoor environment at a summer festival.
This is an open air outdoor event, with partial roof tent shade. Mask wearing, hand washing etiquette and up to date vaccinations are highly recommended. As are sunscreen, nice summer clothes, hats and sunglasses
This role is perfect for cartoonists and character artists who are looking to grow their skills of caricature, customer service and re-connect with others in a fun and low-stakes summer environment.
I began in this position back when I was entering 2nd year and fell in love with the craft of caricature, the feedback of others and the relationship with live art.
This is a great way to test the waters if you're thinking of applying to Wonderland, Toronto Caricature Company, another smaller company, or starting your own part-time venture. Send me a message and come join the community!
Application:
DM or email me at and I'll send you a sample portfolio. Which will be a short collection of some of your favourite sketches and drawings.
Upon applying with your drawings please add a short write up sharing who you are what your experiences with caricature or drawing have been like ie. topics you'd like to learn about, media you'd like to try out or things you want to learn to overcome
