We are currently seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team of software and firmware developers working on both application and embedded platforms. Your responsibility is to adhere to the product roadmap and deliver solutions within budget and on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead Software Delivery: Oversee the successful delivery of both application and embedded software solutions by managing and coordinating a cross-functional team of engineers.
  • Strategic Product Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and align software development efforts with the product roadmap, contributing to the planning of timelines and identifying opportunities for product and process efficiencies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Hardware, Mechanical, and Executive teams to ensure seamless integration of software within the broader product ecosystem.
  • Agile Leadership: Serve as Scrum Master and/or Agile Coach to promote and maintain Agile best practices, ensuring high team productivity, continuous improvement, and efficient sprint execution.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on support in software architecture, design, development, and code reviews, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code.
  • Software Development: Contribute to core software development activities, with a focus on Java and C/C++ in both application-level and embedded environments.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and support the growth and development of team members to foster a high-performing engineering culture.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10 years managing high-performing software and firmware engineering teams, with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: At least 7 years of hands-on development experience with Java and C++-preferably on consumer electronics platforms.
  • Embedded Systems Expertise: Strong experience working in embedded environments, including Linux and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Networking Protocols: Solid understanding and practical experience with communication protocols, including TCP/IP and Ethernet.
  • Development Tools & Practices:

Proficient with version control and task management tools such as Git and JIRA.

Familiarity with continuous integration and build automation using Jenkins.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Methodologies: Comfortable operating in Agile/Scrum environments, with experience guiding teams through iterative development cycles.
