The office of Madeleine Chenette, Member of Parliament for Thérèse-De Blainville, is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of administrative assistant.
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant plays an essential role in providing a variety of administrative services to ensure the smooth running of activities and to help the constituency office achieve its objectives and priorities. In this role, you will use your excellent communication skills to liaise with constituents and provide information to colleagues. In addition, your organisational and planning skills will be used to arrange appointments and provide accurate and precise information to the MP on all relevant issues during constituency visits.
Main responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities can be summed up in the following 3 points:
- You are autonomous and able to manage a variety of tasks effectively at the same time.
- You have experience in the following areas: answering the telephone, greeting visitors, drafting correspondence in response to citizens and performing other administrative tasks related to the position.
- You have a good understanding of the various areas of jurisdiction between federal, provincial and municipal jurisdictions, so that you can provide appropriate support for the various requests made by citizens.

Qualifications
Education:
- Post-secondary diploma from a recognized institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.
Experiences:
- Experience of providing administrative, logistical and coordination services;
- Knowledge of Office suite applications such as MS Outlook, MS TEAMS, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
- Experience of proofreading and checking data for accuracy;
- Experience in preparing internal communication documents and meeting folders;
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in both official languages;
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, managing changing and often difficult to reconcile priorities.
