The ideal candidate brings experience from a precision machining or aerospace/nuclear environment, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of inventory control best practices. If you are passionate about streamlining operations, reducing downtime, and enabling production success-this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement systems to discourage accumulating inventory at workstations and ensure recycling/scrap return compliance.
  • Train operators on best practices for tool use and insert life tracking.
  • Conduct reviews at WorkCentre to ensure proper tool use and inventory accuracy.
  • Track tool life and usage data to improve planning and procurement decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool crib organization, reduce downtime, and support lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping, and operational policies.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or equivalent experience required; associate degree or relevant certifications (e.g., inventory management, lean manufacturing) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tool crib or warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Previous experience in a precision machining or aerospace/nuclear environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and experience with tool vending systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Business acumen in evaluating cost benefit and basic financial knowledge on AP/AR, Inventory cycle time, cost of money, etc.

Work Environment:
