Asset Protection Analyst

General Summary:

The Asset Protection Analyst is a corporate role supporting Shrink and Operational improvements for one of our key retail customers. This person is expected to analyze large data sets to identify fraudulent behavior, irregular activity, training issues, and trends impacting the companies being viewed. The use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) will play a key role in both video and data analytics. The analyst will work to drive performance improvement and reduce losses.

This position requires a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets while maintaining a positive working environment for employees.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis using data from multiple data sources to provide actionable metrics for identifying and reducing POS (point of sale) fraud.
  • Deliver reporting on a weekly & monthly basis covering exception-based reporting, sales reducing transactions, and key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for delivering effective presentations for Corporate and Field Asset Protection and Operational leaders.
  • Support the creation of ad hoc data and analysis requests from leadership teams in the Asset Protection and Operations departments.
  • Coordinate with the field Asset Protection team to review exceptions and control shrink or operational loss.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Perform data gathering tasks and analytics.
  • Produce daily/weekly/monthly exception-based reporting for field AP teams and leadership to review and utilize.
  • Synthesize findings and make recommendations to upper management.
  • Continuous improvement in all analysis & reporting to fine-tune action items. This is inclusive of Ai and data trending patterns.
  • Provide continual system training within the CMS application.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of POS functions and their implications for fraud.
  • Utilize multiple CCTV platforms to validate fraud and other department needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Office Products, Power BI, Tableau, or Google Analytics
  • Loss Prevention or Asset Protection background is a strong asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills, ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
