We are seeking a talented and driven Commercial Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience to join our growing litigation group. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident litigator to work on commercial matters with a high level of autonomy, while being supported by experienced partners and colleagues in a dynamic and collegial environment. Our successful candidate will be self-motivated, hardworking, and personable.

Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Commercial Litigation Lawyer, located in Burlington, ON.

The successful candidate will handle a variety of legal issues, provide legal advice, and represent clients in court. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a varied caseload of commercial disputes
  • Provide strategic advice to clients across a range of industries
  • Conduct legal research
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, factums, and correspondence
  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
  • Work closely with partners and clients to deliver commercially sound legal outcomes
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives

About You

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience (candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply)
  • Strong technical skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage files autonomously and as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
