The Opportunity:

Our client, a private equity-backed, multi-site healthcare platform, is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Operations / Chief Operating Officer to lead and scale its Ontario clinic operations.

This is a critical executive role within a high-growth organization focused on delivering consistent, high-quality care and exceptional team culture across its network. With aggressive expansion plans underway, the business is seeking an experienced operational leader to optimize performance, support acquisitions and integrations, and build scalable systems and teams to enable long-term success.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across a distributed network of healthcare locations.
  • Lead and support a regional management team, ensuring alignment between day-to-day execution and broader business goals.
  • Oversee the integration of newly acquired sites, ensuring smooth transitions and operational consistency.
  • Build and refine operational systems, infrastructure, and processes to support continued growth and scale.
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to set and deliver on long-term strategic goals and annual business plans.
  • Oversee HR-related functions across the organization, including recruitment, onboarding, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Coach and mentor clinic leadership to elevate performance and leadership capacity across the network.
  • Foster a collaborative, values-driven culture that aligns with clinical excellence and team engagement.
  • Leverage KPIs and operational metrics to track performance, inform decision-making, and drive service excellence.
  • Ensure a strong connection between corporate support functions and clinical teams, enabling autonomy while maintaining alignment.

Need to Be Successful:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site healthcare operations, ideally in medical, dental, veterinary or related services.
  • Demonstrated success scaling operations in a growth-focused or private equity-backed environment.
  • Proven ability to lead through change, with strong integration and post-acquisition execution experience.
  • Strong HR and team leadership capability, including building high-performance cultures and coaching leaders at all levels.
  • Comfort operating in regulated clinical environments and working closely with healthcare professionals.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using operational metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel regularly to clinic sites and support geographically dispersed teams.
  • A strategic thinker who thrives in execution - capable of bridging vision with action.
