Intermediate IT Technician - In Office, On Site Deployments & Automation Projects

Location: Calgary, AB (Work-from-home + Client Site Visits)

IT Done Right Inc. is a cybersecurity-first MSP serving clients across Canada. We deliver secure, streamlined IT-not break/fix firefighting. We're hiring an Intermediate Technician to support remote client environments, assist with on-site hardware deployments, and help us drive smarter, automated systems. If you're process-driven, security-focused, and excited about how AI and automation are reshaping IT, this is the role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Primarily remote support work with occasional on-site customer visits in the Calgary area
  • Responding to tickets and client calls as they come in - professionally and with priority
  • Participating in project execution, client onboarding, and documentation improvements
  • Onboarding and configuring new environments (SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID, Security hardening)
  • Maintaining automated deployments, policy enforcement, and endpoint configuration
  • Working with internal tools to streamline and improve repetitive technical tasks
  • Assisting in vulnerability management, endpoint / cloud security, and proactive infrastructure hardening
  • Office-based training for the first few weeks to get familiar with systems, tools, and workflows
  • Occasionally climbing ladders or lifting up to 50lbs when on-site

You Bring

  • You can type - home row above 50wpm without looking at your fingers.
  • Real-world experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows 10/11
  • Working knowledge of DNS, VLANs, routing, and core networking concepts
  • Strong phone/email communication skills and professional presence
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
  • Bondable and eligible for Canadian government security clearance
  • Self-starter mindset with curiosity and an eye for efficiency

Bonus Experience

  • Automating user or endpoint deployments
  • PowerShell, GPO tuning, registry editing
  • Working with endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, or MDR/XDR tools
  • Previous MSP or remote support experience
