I am currently recruiting for a Tooling & Set-Up Technician to join a well-established manufacturer in the North shore of Montreal. This is a full-time permanent day shift position, Monday to Friday.

Your main responsibilities:

- Install, align and adjust tooling components (dies, heads, molds, guides) on plastic extrusion lines based on production specs.
- Perform all necessary mechanical settings for changeovers and production start-ups.
- Work with the team leader to validate trial runs before launching the process.
- Monitor production parameters and make adjustments to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Carry out basic preventive maintenance and report more complex technical issues to the maintenance team.
- Collaborate closely with machine operators to ensure product quality and productivity.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety protocols during all equipment operations.

Your qualifications & profile:

- Vocational diploma (DEP) in industrial mechanics, tooling, or related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical setup and adjustments, ideally in plastic or aluminum extrusion.
- Familiar with extrusion processes and production line operations.
- Able to read technical plans and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
- Detail-oriented, mechanically savvy, and good at diagnosing technical issues.
- Independent, structured and capable of managing production priorities efficiently.
