We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Technical Business Solutions Analyst to align KFC's strategic business objectives with its stakeholders and technical teams, while providing solutions for transformational technology initiatives. This contract position offers the chance to apply your expertise in business analysis across the entire organization, working closely with Franchisees, Operations, Marketing, and Finance departments. Additionally, this role provides an exceptional opportunity to leverage your technological acumen to address business challenges through modern tech solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive expertise in the complete technical solution lifecycle. This includes a profound understanding of the KFC technology stack, rigorous requirements gathering and analysis, detailed technical solution design, support testing activities, build comprehensive documentation, and practical technology implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Technical Requirements Analysis & Solution Design-

• Represent the technology team in strategic initiatives, providing informed recommendations regarding technological solutions.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to define business requirements, facilitate decision-making, and implement effective solutions.
• Design scalable technical solutions utilizing the KFC technology stack.
• Assess emerging technologies, including those from other markets within the Yum! Family, to recommend optimal adoption strategies.

2. Technical Documentation and Training

• Collect, prioritize, and disseminate technical and functional requirements to the broader business.
• Develop clear technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and user stories.
• Document system configurations, processes, and training materials.
• Compile a comprehensive repository of all documentation for technologies used by the business to ensure continuity.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Business Alignment

• Conduct thorough analysis of business operations to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and strategic priorities.
• Effectively communicate requirements, issues, and resolution options to various stakeholders, tailoring messages to suit the audience.
• Develop and propose standards, best practices, guidelines, and principles for business analysis.

4. Process Optimization and Change Management

• Assist with technological change management by helping teams implement new business processes and frameworks.
• Optimize technology and cross-functional processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Evaluate vendor solutions for compatibility with existing technology and document required changes to ensure seamless adoption.

5. System Implementation and Project Launch

• Actively participate in the implementation of recommended solutions by collaborating with the entire technology team.
• Develop a tailored plan or approach for each business initiative to ensure compatibility and alignment with the utilized technology.
• Create comprehensive business guidelines for all technology launches to ensure project execution with excellence.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years as a technical business analyst or similar role in tech-driven environments

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT or related fields

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to understand and interpret requirements and design documents

• Ability to write and maintain documentation

• You have proven experience in driving business transformation and process improvement

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand the interdependencies of how they affect existing KFC technology stack

• Understands a wide range of modern technologies

• Knowledge of emerging technologies is an asset

• Exceptional communication to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• You possess exceptional problem-solving skills and can develop technology solutions with a direct impact on business operations

• You have strong stakeholder engagement abilities, with experience influencing decision-makers

• Ability to manage competing priorities, balance strategic goals with operational needs, and lead change management.

• Proven ability to think outside the box with bold and calculated ideas

• QSR industry experience is an asset

• Project management and project lifecycle skills are an asset
