Project Manager (Capital Markets)

Client: Big 5 Bank

Location: Downtown Toronto.

Hybrid: 3 days in office per week.

Duration of Contract/Perm: 12-months

Hours/week: 37.5 hrs/wk. 9-5 PM, M-F

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Security Lending and familiarity with GlobalOne to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Capital Markets, particularly in Equities and Prime Services, and will be adept at managing complex projects and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and manage project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Create comprehensive business cases to support project initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, including desk heads and senior management.
• Formulate and implement strategies for Equities, Prime Services, and Collateral systems.
• Structure and organize end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring successful execution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the project, representing the project to desk heads and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with front office teams, business units, and organizational departments to ensure project success.
• Leverage technical background to address challenges and drive project outcomes.
• Manage projects related to data, with a focus on platforms like Databricks.

Must Have Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in Capital Markets, with a focus on Equities and Prime Services.
• Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and address complex technical challenges.
• Experience working with front office teams and business units.
• Demonstrated success in structuring and organizing end-to-end project delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with Fidessa (ION), Raptor, fixed messaging, and prime business systems (CashOne, GlobalOne, SwapsOne).
• Experience with data projects, particularly using Databricks, is highly desirable.
