Frate is a Returns Management Software in the Shopify space that is taking a new approach to ecommerce returns. We're a high-growth startup building the future of sustainable reverse logistics and ecommerce infrastructure. We're laser-focused on helping modern brands move faster, smarter, and more efficiently. Backed by a strong customer base, such as Monos, Caraway, and Schutz, we're looking to add a Founding BDR to help scale our growth engine and become a key part of our sales team.

The Role

As our first BDR hire, you'll be on the front lines of our go-to-market efforts. You'll be responsible for sourcing and qualifying new opportunities, building relationships with high-growth eCommerce brands, and collaborating closely with our CEO and founding team. This role is designed for someone hungry to become a founding AE-you'll have a clear path to grow into a closing role and shape what sales looks like at Frate.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prospect, qualify, and generate new business opportunities across the Shopify eCommerce ecosystem
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads through outbound (cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn, DMs, etc.)
  • Develop and experiment with outreach strategies and messaging
  • Partner with the CEO and Head of Partnerships on early sales process and feedback loops
  • Educate prospects about our product and how we solve their shipping and logistics challenges
  • Help define and refine our ideal customer profile (ICP), and contribute to GTM strategy
  • Track all activities and learnings in our CRM

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2+ years of experience in a BDR/SDR or growth-related role (preferably in a fast-paced tech company)
  • Bonus: experience selling into the Shopify ecosystem or eCommerce brands
  • Strong communicator with hustle, grit, and self-motivation
  • Clear ambition to grow into a full-cycle Account Executive role
  • Entrepreneurial mindset-you love building from scratch, testing, iterating
  • Based in Toronto or the GTA and able to work from the office 3+ days a week with our core team
