Position function:

Reporting to the Procurement Director, the individual will be responsible for dealing with suppliers and overseeing the supplier onboarding process. This will involve working closely with the Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Accounts Payable, Will involve facilitating all communication and documentation, as well as reaching out to suppliers for technical information to ensure internal documents are up to date for internally used ingredients and resale products. This position is a technical liaison between suppliers and internal departments and will ensure an outstanding level of quality and satisfaction to our customers is achieved.

Major tasks and duties:

  • Obtain documentation to qualify and approve new vendors and manufacturers, working directly with vendors to support Caldic North America's vendor and manufacturer approval process
  • Obtain documentation to qualify and approve new materials, working directly with vendors and Caldic Commercialization team to support Caldic North America's product approval process
  • Create vendors, manufacturers and item codes to initiate the commercialization process
  • Request and collect facility information ( LOG, Audit certificate, Audit report, Etc.) from vendors to support up-to-date maintenance of approved vendors andmanufacturing facilities
  • Oversee the internal Change Control process for Procurement and engage with other departments for completion
  • Create reports as requested by manager or other departments.
  • Become proficient in the internal Ticket Sourcing software and process
  • Work with Procurement team on New Supplier Evaluation (NSE) requests
  • Any and all other tasks assigned by manager
  • Comply with all company policies

Knowledge/Skills and Experience

  • Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within expected timeliness
  • Strong attention to detail, computer skills.
  • Must be self-motivated to work with minimal supervision
  • Science with a background in Quality Assurance is an asset.
  • Working experience with document management is beneficial
  • Knowledge of GFSI standards is considered an asset
  • Documentation and process orientated.
