Description:
The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing operations of the plant. Ensuring that manufacturing KPIs are met and that the plant is meeting the quality and safety requirements of the company. You will coordinate activities of all operating departments in the facility and meet long term strategic plans and budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Directs production activities to meet sales objectives at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
- Provide leadership on lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Oversee all EHS and Quality Management activities.
- Actively involved in new product validation activities in conjunction with Technical Operations and Sales Teams.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX planning and financial performance for the plant.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance and capital expenditure program.
- Implements effective programs relative to environmental compliance.
- Develops action plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and facilities.
- Partners with site Human Resource Manager to ensure our cultural and engagement commitments are followed through on site level teams.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Business or Engineering preferred.
- 10 years of experience in plant or operations management.
- Experience with injection molding preferred.
- Proven experience leading kaizen or six sigma initiatives.
- Ability to lead, motivate, select, train and instruct personnel.
- Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of production process and manufacturing capabilities.
- Must demonstrate strong decision-making skills, sound judgment and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
- Must be a self-motivated problem solver who will drive projects and people.
- Strong analytical and financial skills includes budgeting and P&L responsibility.
- Proficient with M.S. Suite programs and ERP/MRP systems.
